Wonderful service! I loved that I got to be out in the waist through Yelp. That was extremely helpful given the fact that I've driven to 4 restaurants with over an hour wait time. The food was delicious! I ordered the restaurant week prime French dip and although I had to attend to my kids and my didn't get to my food until 30 minutes later, the sandwich was delicious! I ordered cole slaw on the side and that was on point. My kids got the kid's french toast and pancakes and they loved it. They gave it a thumbs up. My older son ordered a bowl of clam chowder. I didn't realize a bowl was that big of a bowl. I told him that I'm going to have to help him out. The clam chowder was amazing! There were a ton is clams and probably no potatoes, at least I didn't see them, but that was the way I liked it anyways. Maybe it was pureed? Idk.

Great place for breakfast and lunch! Came here from a recommendation from a friend and can't understand how I've missed this place over the years. Great atmosphere and outdoor dining. So glad I did the Yelp waitlist with them because there a busy restaurant with great food and service! The breakfast was awesome and so tasty! Mimosa's and Bloody Mary's are amazing too! Service was awesome and the waitresses are great, fast and clean!

We stayed overnight in Huntington Beach and wanted to have a nice Sunday brunch before heading back to San Diego. How lucky that Yelp recommenced Cappy's! We jumped on the wait list and headed out the door. Their process for check in was easy and fast and the host was so friendly - a great start to our morning! We were seated in their overflow tent outside and it was comfortable and we were happy to be able to enjoy the fresh air and perfect Cali weather. The menu has so many options and really caters to all palates. Even the pickiest of eaters would be happy here. We chose the New York steak and eggs and the country fried steak. Both were delicious. We chose hash browns as our sides and they were perfectly crispy and so good. The gravy on the country fried steak was peppery and yummy. It was the best breakfast we've had in Cali this trip, hands down. The staff there is engaging and really friendly and the atmosphere welcoming, upbeat and easy. It seems like this is a local favorite. Definitely give it a try if you're in the area. We'll be back for sure.

We were just passing though and found this gem. It's a locals spot for Sunday bottomless mimosas and so we thought we'd give it a try. We ordered the NY steak and eggs and the country fried steak. Both were absolutely fantastic. We were in the overflow tent in the parking lot. You get a sense of the community eating here on a Sunday. There are families, babies, small dogs and a table of people in it to win it with the bottomless mimosas. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend stoping here for breakfast if you are passing though.

How have we lived in so cal our whole lives and not eaten here? The entire wait staff was so pleasant! Everything going on with Covid, some dining experience can not be worth it! But not here! They do an amazing job Keith everyone safe! Food is delish and resonantly priced! We will be bringing our parents back here for sure! We are already planning what to order on our next visit! Can't wait to comeBack 🙂

Monique served us today & she took us straight to our destination. Bottomless mimosas, she was quick to make sure I was never parched. This restaurant covers everything America/Mexican breakfast to sweets! They have the outdoor dinning under control, so this isn't a place to question. Request Monique she know what you want.

I've been to Cappys several times since reopening for dine-in service, including outside seating only. Cappys has the safety and well-being of guests and staff a top priority. The temporary tents erected in the back of Cappys work! I was outside, enjoyed the beautiful weather, some nice wetlands scenery, and most of all, was thankful they're open for service! The staff were working their tails off accommodating guests' needs. This is a time to be grateful and generous to wait staff in restaurants. It's not an easy time but Cappys has it figured out and are evolving to shift with needs of these times. And the food is awesome! Generous portions and fast service!

Don't know where I can start talking about Cappys and their Management . Had a small issue with takeout and Kyle and Barbara went out of the way to correct it. Went to opening brunch on Sunday. Perfect patio dining with COBID plus precautions. Kyle , manager, was amazing. Also LaFonda on Main ( a Cappys place) is now open for brunch. If you have met the Cappy family you will understand how dedicated they are to outstanding customer service. A family restaurant on steroids See you next week

Updating my old 5 star review... this place is awesome! They added 25 tables in the backParking lot all 6 ft apart. I watched them clean the tables thoroughly. Food and service is awesome as ever but feel very safe during corona time.Old review: My breakfast was expertly prepared. The food was great and more than enough. Every time I've come here for breakfast, it's been a great experience. The service was great and fast and the price was fair.

I am blown away! We spent some time looking for places to have a good brunch since we were in town - and I couldn't be happier with our decision. I had been having bad brunch experiences with nasty thrown together food - this was NOT the case here. I got a meat lovers omelette & cinnamon roll french toast, they are soo generous wit the portions. Everything cooked & seasoned perfect. Not a single complaint what so ever. And not to mention our beautiful server Amanda on TOP of absolutely everything. And not just with our table, with all her tables! She's what we need more of! Also shoutout to the cooks!! Such an amazing experience. Will be coming back!! I am writing this as I sit here that's how good it is. Good job Cappy's Cafe & Amanda!

Always a go to place for brunch. They opened up the back area for more outdoor seating. Nice vibe looking into nature. I prefer outdoor seating. Our usual orders. Pancake combo... I like sausage links over bacon. Chili cheese omelette. A definition of comfort food. Taco salad. Happiness in a taco bowlBloody Mary to wake you up Service is great Price. Value for money. Their menu is disposable now so we won't ask for it the next time. Posting it so you can help save the trees 🙂

The food was delicious. I had the cheeseburger and my husband had the cheesesteak sandwich. So yummy! We finished everything on our plates. The restaurant is decorated very nicely and is very clean. When the front doors are closed you cannot hear the sounds of the cars on PCH. Nice little find in Newport Beach. We will be back!!

Hole in the wall feel with amazing food. Came here with my parents (and my dog) for breakfast today. Sat us on the patio and brought our water and a treat for my dog , which was super nice. Service was quick and really helpful. I got the Nova Lox Burrito- it was so good I'm debating going back tomorrow to get it again. No problem using the Yelp $45 for $50 deal, even though it sounds like it was just implemented. Definitely check it out for breakfast in Newport Beach!

Made a reservation on Yelp prior to arriving, as I know this place cranks. I've never been here before, but driven by with loads of people waiting. Seated right away, sorry non Yelpers... Sat on the side of the place looking at PCH and the Balboa Island Mural. Aka.. the Dog Wall seating is awesome.Pros$30 bottomless mimosas Fresh Squeezed OJPCH viewsGreat foodGreat atmosphere Friendly service Reserve your spot hereOrder from your phone at the tableConsParking can get trickyForgetting to reserve a tableI had a blueberry pancakes (1), I'm always disappointed so I ordered 1 vs a stack. Glad I did, as this loaded blueberry pancake was HUGE and fluffy. 3 of them would have put me in a food coma. Maple syrup only, wish they had compote. Also got the eggs Benedict traditional style, wife got the Florentine style. Fantastic poached egg, plenty of Hollandaise sauce.... but I'm not a fan of mayo/ creamy Hollandaise sauce.. so I was disappointed again. But still ate it. I've yet to find Hollandaise made the correct way, other than expensive restaurants and vegas buffets.(Hollandaise sauce is 3 things, super simple.. egg yolks, butter and lemon juice) can't figure out why it's not served that way, other than this style is more found on vegetables and eggs Benedict. Maybe it can be an option here.. Creamy or Lemon-y (traditional) Hollandaise Sauce.Over all- I'll totally one back to try other dishes and support small businesses. Then grab a balboa bar after

Classic NB breakfast spot now open for dine-in. Felt so good to go out to eat after 3 months and it felt very safe doing so. Plenty of outside seating and we were seated within 5 mins. Service was a A+ as well as the food. I always get the country fried steak with three eggs and home fries. Best country fried steak I've found in OC.

This was the first day they opened and man did they have it dialed in!The CDC guidelines are followed to a "T."We felt very comfortable and safe. The food was amazing and they are so accommodating with substitutions. The service was impeccable and everyone is super friendly. The icing on the cake!!The restrooms were so cutely decorated and immaculate. Thanks Cappy's!We appreciate the positive experience!!

Cappy's is hands down the best breakfast (and lunch) in Newport Beach, likely all of Orange County, maybe even all of California. I LOVE this place. I can't wait to go back in when things get back to normal. In the meantime, I'll settle for their INCREDIBLE food to go! Thanks Cappy's for doing what you do!!!

Was in Newport Beach getting meat at The Butchery and we wanted to grab breakfast after. Pull up breakfast spots on yelp and this place came up. It was close to where we were at so we went. Damn! Best breakfasts spot I've been to and I've been to plenty. My buddy ordered ham which I don't like but tried his and it was delicious. I don't know what they put in them pancakes but they were fluffy and delicious. I haven't been back since everything has been shut down ( I found this place right before everything shut down) but once we open back up, this is the first spot in bringing the family to.

Sorry for the crappy Cappy review. It was a fat thumb that got overactive and submitted my incomplete rave. By rave, I am talking about it in a good way.So here is version #2.Carb lovers, rejoice. Keto eaters, not so much. The Crab omelet lost our favor, simply too much bell pepper and pico de gallo which overwhelmed the flavors of the genuine crab filling. I think Mr. B would fill up on the creamy clam chowder next visit. And there will be a next visit.Chicken fried chicken. Frankly, it will be difficult for me to order anything but this. Moist, tender, with a crisp panko crust done to perfection. I would change one thing however. The bacon cream gravy. As in too heavy, too much, rather bland. The gravy I would pass on.The clam chowder, the best! Definitely not my kind of keto meal, but for a cheat meal...mmmm.Loved this little cafe, in all its hominess and genuine friendliness and attention to quality. They do a great job on breakfasts, but save room for the chowder!

Great local Newport Beach breakfast spot on the weekends. Breakfast and lunch served 7am - 2pm. Get there by 8am to be seated immediately and enjoy. Outside seating is small & nice. The special includes some of the favorite breakfast dishes, i.e., eggs benedict, pancake (any flavor--blueberry a favorite) combo with 2 eggs & bacon or sausage (patty or links) + mimosa or bloody mary for $20.00, coffee or soft drinks $3.50 extra. Or try the REAL CRAB omelette!*****Parking in a tiny lot so the earlier the better.

I hadn't been to Cappy's since I lived on the peninsula, but recently I read the articles on Cappy's and all of the new dishes and the fresh Hawaiian fish that is flown in everyday. My curiosity got the best of me and I headed down to Cappy's for a late lunch. I ordered the fish and chips and undoubtedly some of the best that I have had in a very very long time! A lot of generous fish with a light crispy batter. They were served piping hot and were absolutely delicious! I usually have to get my fish and chip fix at Muldoons or the Bunglow, but now I am going to Cappy's! Looking forward to trying some more of their new dishes, as well as, some of my old favorites! The ambiance delivers with Cappy's live entertainment too!

This is one of my favorite breakfast place in Newport. Portions are big and the food is delicious. I always order a side of blueberry pancakes (my favorite) and it comes out so fluffy and I barely finish it because it's huge even just 1. To be honest I think Cappy's serves the best blueberry pancakes in town. If you haven't been, give it a try not only because of the food but the service is always great too. It's definitely a local spot! I came in for breakfast on Thanksgiving and got the breakfast burrito with sausage which was amazing with some coffee and oj and a blueberry pancake. Thank you Jazmin for great service!
